About this event

The Noosa 1000 Ocean Swim is a 1,000-metre open-water swimming event held on Noosa Main Beach as part of the festival program leading into the Noosa Triathlon.

Swimmers follow a distinctive M-shaped course through the waters of Laguna Bay, beginning and finishing on the golden sand of Noosa Main Beach. The scenic course combines open-water swimming with views of Noosa’s famous coastline and a lively beachside atmosphere.

The event starts at 4:15pm, with check-in available from 2:30pm to 4:00pm at Noosa Heads Surf Club. It offers open, adult and junior entry categories, making it suitable for a range of swimmers looking to take part in a standalone ocean swim during the Noosa Triathlon festival.

Held on Friday 30 October 2026, the swim is an ideal way to experience Noosa’s iconic beach setting and join the excitement of one of Australia’s best-known multisport weekends.
