About this event
Set in beautiful Noosa Heads, this five-day festival brings together one of Australia’s most iconic triathlon weekends with a packed program of ocean, road and family-friendly events. The 2026 festival runs from 28 October to 1 November, with the headline Noosa Triathlon closing the event on the final day.
Across the week, athletes can take part in a range of distances and formats, including a Run Swim Run, Breakfast Fun Run, 5K Bolt, Superkidz Triathlon, Special Triathlon, and the flagship triathlon itself. The main race features a 1.5km swim, 40km bike and 10km run, and is available as both a solo race and a relay.
The course makes the most of Noosa’s coastal setting, with the swim in the calm waters of Laguna Bay off Noosa Main Beach, a bike leg that heads into the hinterland, and a fast, flat run along Noosa Parade. Supporting events are staged across key locations around Noosa Heads and nearby Noosaville, creating a lively festival atmosphere for competitors and spectators alike.
The event is designed to cater for a wide range of ages and abilities, from elite triathletes to first-timers, kids and athletes taking part in adapted categories. It remains one of the standout fixtures on the Australian sporting calendar, combining serious racing with a relaxed Queensland holiday setting.
