About this event

The Noosa Triathlon is one of Australia’s most established and highly regarded triathlons, drawing a strong field each year to the Sunshine Coast. Held in the Noosa Heads area, the event forms part of the Noosa Triathlon & Multisport Festival and is known for its scenic coastal setting and fast, spectator-friendly course.

The main race takes place on Sunday, 1 November 2026, with festival activities running across the surrounding weekend. The standard triathlon distance features a 1.5km swim, a 40km bike ride, and a 10km run.

Set against the backdrop of Noosa’s beaches, river and hinterland, the event attracts both elite and age-group athletes. It is widely recognised as one of the standout multisport events on the Australian calendar.
