About the Event

Olivia’s Walk for Wellness is an inclusive community walk supporting people living with cancer and the evidence-based wellness therapies provided through Austin Health’s Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre. Participants can honour loved ones while celebrating connection, hope and wellbeing.

Funds raised help keep clinically informed wellness therapies free for patients, including exercise physiology, psychology, oncology massage and support groups. They also help expand access and support research into future cancer wellness care.

What to Expect

The event takes place at Alexandra Gardens in Melbourne on Sunday 4 October 2026. Participants can choose a 2km or 5km walking route through the Royal Botanic Gardens, with options designed for a wide range of ages and abilities. The 2026 event is walking-only, creating a relaxed experience where everyone can take part at their own pace.

Inspired by the song Let’s Get Physical, participants are encouraged to wear their best 1980s outfit, including headbands and legwarmers. A virtual participation option is also available for supporters unable to attend in Melbourne.

How to Participate

Choose an in-person 2km or 5km walk and register using the official link.
Create or join a fundraising team and invite friends and family to support the cause.
Purchase before 8 September to have your event bib mailed to you. Later entrants can collect their bib from the registration marquee on Saturday 3 October between 1:00pm and 4:00pm, or before their allocated wave on event day.

Cost

Standard entry from 13 July to 7 September costs $70 for adults, $60 for youth, concession and seniors, $35 for children aged 3–12, or $180 for a family of two adults and two children. Last-minute prices apply from 8 September. Children aged two and under do not require a ticket. All prices are in Australian dollars.
