About this event
Mother’s Day Classic – Melbourne is a large community running and walking event held in Melbourne on Mother’s Day, bringing together participants of all ages to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer research.
The Melbourne event is based around Alexandra Gardens and The Tan, with routes designed for both runners and walkers. Publicly available event information indicates a choice of timed run and walk distances, including shorter community-friendly options and longer courses for those wanting a bigger challenge.
It is a family-friendly occasion with a strong social atmosphere, attracting first-timers, regular runners, walkers and supporters who want to take part in a meaningful day out. The event typically features an event village, bib collection, warm-up activities and a lively community feel throughout the morning.
With its focus on movement, remembrance and fundraising, the Mother’s Day Classic has become one of Melbourne’s most recognisable annual charity events. It offers a simple way to celebrate Mother’s Day while supporting an important cause.
