About this event
The Port Fairy Moyneyana Open Water Swim takes place on Port Fairy’s East Beach on Saturday, 26 December 2026. It is the opening swim in the four-event Shipwreck Coast Swim Series, which also visits Portland, Warrnambool and Port Campbell.
The feature course heads out through the break, west along the beach and back to the finish at the Port Fairy Surf Life Saving Club. The full course is planned at approximately 1.2 km, although the distance may vary with tides and conditions. A shorter introductory swim of approximately 500 m is also available for newer and younger ocean swimmers.
Swimmers must provide and wear their own swimming cap for water safety. Participants should arrive at check-in around 45 minutes before their wave and follow event announcements, as the start position may change depending on beach and water conditions.
Online entries generally open in November and close at 6 pm on the afternoon before the swim. Entries are not available on race day. The recommended minimum age is 14 for the feature swim and 12 for the introductory swim.
