Red Dirt Backyard Ultra

Description
The Red Dirt Backyard Ultra is an intense last-person-standing endurance race taking place on Saturday, 27 June 2026, in Nickol, Karratha, Western Australia.
In this ultramarathon format, participants must complete a 6.71 km (4.17 miles) loop every hour, on the hour, continuously until only one runner remains—known as the Last One Standing (LOS). All other runners who fail to complete a loop within the hour or do not start the next loop are recorded as Did Not Finish (DNF).
The course starts and finishes at the Bayview Road Caravan Park in Nickol and features a challenging mixed terrain of trail, gravel, hard sand, and distinctive red dirt.
The event is proudly organised by the Pilbara Trailblazers, promising a test of endurance, strategy, and mental toughness in the unique Pilbara landscape.
