About this event
Run Tasmania Stage Race is a four-day trail running adventure through the landscapes of southern Tasmania, based in Hobart and surrounding areas from Wednesday 25 to Saturday 28 November 2026.
The event combines challenging long-course stages with shorter-course options, taking runners from coastal trails and mountain terrain to rainforest and dramatic sea cliffs. Planned locations include the Kingston Foreshore, kunanyi/Mount Wellington, the rainforest near Fortescue Bay and the Cape Raoul clifftops.
The opening race day begins with registration and a competitor briefing at Wrest Point in Hobart, followed by bus transfers to the start lines. The long course starts at Kingston Foreshore, while the short course begins at Taroona Beach, with runners finishing at Sandy Bay.
Accommodation, transport between stages and meals are organised as part of the event experience, allowing participants to focus on the trails and scenery. Scheduled transfers connect the event locations with Hobart, and support crews and spectators are welcome.
With varied terrain, coastal views, mountain tracks and Tasmanian wilderness, the Run Tasmania Stage Race offers an immersive multi-day running experience for participants seeking a memorable way to explore the region on foot.
