Run the Lighthouse
Event location
Description
Organiser: TrailsPlus
Run the Lighthouse takes place on Saturday, 21 February 2026, at the stunning Tidal River Campground within Wilsons Promontory National Park, Victoria. This trail running event offers a variety of distances ranging from 6km to 70km, catering to all levels of runners.
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Victoria’s rugged coastline, participants will experience diverse terrain including coastal trails, pristine beaches, and native bushland. The area is renowned for its dramatic mountains, crystal-clear waters, abundant wildlife, and the relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere of the Tidal River Campground.
Distances available are 6km, 21km, 42km, 50km, and 70km, each designed to showcase different highlights of the park. Due to the Tidal River bridge being out of service in 2026, course routes have been updated: the 6km is an out-and-back along Norman Bay beach and the headland; the 21km follows the coast before turning inland to Telegraph Track Junction and back; the 42km follows the 21km route but includes a climb up Mt Oberon; the 50km reaches the lighthouse via Waterloo Bay and the southern tip of the promontory; and the 70km mirrors the 50km route with an additional ascent of Mt Oberon.

Bushrangers Women's Walking Club Inc
The Bushrangers Womens' Walking Club Inc was formed on April 1 2001 - April Fool's Day in fact, which lends credence to our philosophy of walking. Having a good time with plenty of walk, talk, laughter and finishing with coffee and cake!
The idea for the women only club was mooted at a large Girl Guide Camp. Many of the leaders were bemoaning the fact that they had no like-minded women to walk with. Consequently the club was formed, a walk planned and a cake made! Many of our foundation members are active in the Girl Guides but membership...
