About this event
Ballarat’s historic central streets become the setting for a two-day road-running festival, with certified courses ranging from a family-friendly mile to the full marathon. Events start and finish outside Ballarat Town Hall, bringing runners and spectators together in the heart of the city on 17 and 18 April 2027.
Saturday on Sturt Street
The weekend’s racing begins on Saturday with the 10km at 12.30pm. Its course follows Sturt Street and passes through Victoria Park, with a cut-off of 2 hours and 15 minutes and a minimum age of 13.
A new one-lap 5km follows at 3.15pm. Elite runners begin from a front corral, while recreational runners and walkers can take part from behind. There is no minimum age, although entrants aged nine and under must participate with a registered adult.
The family-friendly Community Mile starts at 5pm and is open to all ages and abilities. Saturday concludes under lights with the Golden Mile and Australian Road Mile Championships, featuring under-16 and elite races on a new two-lap city course.

Marathon entrants complete two laps for the full 42.195km distance.
Both Sunday distances have a six-hour cut-off. Entrants must be at least 16 for the half marathon and 18 for the marathon.
