About this event

The Running Warehouse Ballarat Marathon is a two-day road running festival celebrating health, community and Ballarat’s gold-rush heritage. The 2027 event runs from Saturday 17 to Sunday 18 April, with activities centred around Ballarat, Victoria.

Saturday’s program features a 1.6-kilometre Community Mile, a 10-kilometre event and the Golden Mile, including elite races for under-16 athletes and the Australian Road Mile Championships. The day also includes a sport and leisure expo and bib collection.

Sunday is dedicated to the headline Running Warehouse Marathon and the Federation University Half Marathon. The road courses are designed to showcase Ballarat’s historic streets, with the marathon described as flat and fast and featuring approximately 98 metres of elevation.

With marathon, half-marathon, 10-kilometre, 5-kilometre and 1.6-kilometre options across the weekend, the festival offers races for elite competitors, experienced distance runners and community participants.
