About this event
Shepparton Running Festival returns to Victoria Park Lake across the weekend of 14 and 15 August 2027, bringing a community-focused celebration of running to the Goulburn Valley. The festival combines scenic riverside courses with a lively Finish Line Festival for runners, families and spectators.
Saturday’s programme features a 5km run and a family-friendly 2km event. The 5km course follows riverside paths, crosses the suspension bridge and finishes in a festive event hub. The flat 2km lap is designed for children, families and first-time participants, with a medal and festival activities included.
The longer events take place on Sunday, 15 August, with a marathon, half marathon and 10km run. The marathon follows two laps of flat riverside paths and the Kialla Lakes loop, while the half marathon includes riverside trails, the Kialla Lakes loop and a Causeway crossing. The 10km course features the suspension bridge, Causeway and a straight, tree-lined out-and-back section.
The marathon, half marathon and 10km courses are certified by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races, making the longer events suitable for participants seeking an officially measured course, a personal best or a qualifying time. Across the weekend, the festival offers five distances, accessible routes and a welcoming atmosphere centred on participation and community support.
