About this event

Shine a Light on Lung Cancer brings Melbourne’s lung cancer community together for a reflective evening walk around The Tan on Sunday 15 November 2026. Meet at the Pillars of Wisdom to support people affected by lung cancer, remember loved ones and raise funds for research and practical support.

Evening at The Tan

Registration and lantern collection begin at 5:00 pm, with a community raffle and food vendors. A lantern ceremony starts at 5:30 pm, followed by one lap around The Tan at 5:45 pm. The event closes at 7:00 pm.

Walk with a lantern

Registering creates a personal fundraising page. Participants can choose a lantern representing remembrance, living with lung cancer or support for the community. Raise $100 on your page to receive your chosen lantern and a Lung Foundation Australia T-shirt. Online registration is required. The registration form lists donations as optional and shows no separate entry fee.
