The Snowies MTB Festival returns to the Snowy Mountains in February 2027 for a three-day mountain bike stage race set against one of Australia’s most striking alpine backdrops. Riders can expect a multi-stage event that showcases rugged mountain scenery, challenging terrain and a mix of cross-country and endurance-style riding.
Across the festival, participants are typically offered several ride options, from the full stage race through to shorter formats for weekend or day riders. The event is known for using iconic Snowy Mountains trails, including sections of the Thredbo Valley Track, giving riders a rare chance to experience closed and purpose-selected routes in a race environment.
Designed for competitive racers and recreational mountain bikers alike, the festival combines spirited racing with a strong social atmosphere and a destination riding experience in the alpine landscapes of New South Wales.
