Looking for a day out that’s fun, meaningful and free?
The Social Enterprise Festival is back—bigger and better than ever—on Saturday 16 August at UTS!
Bring the kids, grandparents, neighbours and friends to explore a festival full of market stalls, hands-on workshops and inspiring talks. You’ll meet the passionate people behind businesses that put people and planet first, and discover beautiful, ethical products your family will love.
What families can look forward to:
* Sample and shop for unique gifts, toys, homewares, books and delicious food—all supporting fair trade and social good.
* Join free family-friendly workshops and activations: waste-free cooking demos, climate action crafts for kids, CPR demos and even mobile device repair.
* Drop in to the kids zone, where little ones can explore Reverse Garbage craft, play games, and get creative with LEGO to help “build a better world.”
* Relax over a coffee or bite to eat at the onsite café, run by Hotel Etico—a social enterprise creating opportunities for people with disability.
* Hear inspiring talks and panels on topics like recycling, renewable energy, inclusion, wellbeing and more—perfect for older kids, teens and adults.
Every purchase and activity at the festival helps create real social and environmental change—it’s a great way to show kids how small choices can make a big difference.
Tickets are free and everyone’s welcome. Come for an hour or stay all day!
Easy to get there:
UTS Business School is just a 5-minute walk from Central Station (train/metro/bus). We also encourage coming by bike or on foot.
Stay updated:
Follow along on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and check our website for details on market stalls, workshops and speakers.
