Description
Formerly known as the Balfour Burn, the St Giles Burn is a family-friendly fundraising event taking place on Sunday, 19 October 2025 in Launceston, Tasmania.
The challenge begins on Elizabeth Street and ascends steeply to the Welman Street junction, where a sharp right turn leads participants to the finish line on Arthur Street, next to the vibrant new finish line precinct at St Georges Square.
Covering just 400 metres, the course includes nearly 40 metres of vertical climbing—equivalent to climbing thirteen flights of stairs—making it one of Launceston’s steepest and most exciting hill climbs.
The event promotes inclusion and celebrates the unique abilities of all participants, encouraging people of all fitness levels to run, walk, or ride up the hill while raising funds to support vital programs and resources for people with disabilities.
