About this event
The Rockingham round of the Swimming WA Open Water Swimming Series returns to the sheltered coastline of Palm Beach on Sunday, 6 December 2026. As round three of the 2026/27 series, it forms part of a summer program spanning Perth and regional Western Australia.
With distances across the wider series ranging from 500 metres to 10 kilometres, the event offers opportunities for swimmers of different ages, abilities and experience levels. Choose a shorter swim to build confidence in open water or take on a longer challenge as part of your training and competition goals.
Palm Beach provides a scenic coastal setting for a well-supported swim, with clearly marked courses, safety supervision and an encouraging atmosphere. The Rockingham event is known for its welcoming community spirit, bringing together swimming clubs, families, first-time competitors and experienced open-water swimmers.
After the swim, relax beside the Indian Ocean, share the morning with fellow participants and enjoy the surrounding beachside precinct. With accessible distances, a friendly event environment and a picturesque location, the Rockingham round is an inviting way to experience open-water swimming in Western Australia.
