Description

Event Date:

Organiser: TrailsPlus

The Last Legend, taking place on Sunday, 14 December 2025 at Woodlands Historic Park, Greenvale, VIC, Australia, is a unique endurance event combining a festive Christmas celebration, fundraising for cancer support, and a challenging running competition open to all.

This event features a Backyard Ultra-inspired format on a 2.5 km loop course with progressively shorter lap times. Each lap begins on a strict schedule: runners complete the loop then rest until the next timed start. The first lap allows a relaxed 30-minute pace, but subsequent laps require faster completion, continuing until only one runner remains.

Participants compete to be crowned the Last Legend, with all finishers receiving a commemorative medal. The event is hosted within the Woodlands Historic Park, home to the Living Legends Retired Race Horses, supporting both these noble animals and CanTeen, the Australian charity for young people affected by cancer.

Distances:
Multiple 2.5K laps - diminishing time per lap
