About this event
Gravel Unravel Warburton is a timed gravel cycling event through the scenic Warburton Valley on Saturday 28 November 2026. Starting at Mac Sparke Oval and finishing at the Alpine Hotel, the ride follows gravel roads between Warburton and Noojee, taking in temperate rainforest, challenging climbs and sweeping descents.
Three course options are available:
- 99 km course: approximately 2,346 metres of elevation gain.
- 51.1 km course: approximately 1,075 metres of elevation gain.
- 46.7 km course: approximately 1,111 metres of elevation gain.
Timed segments add a competitive element, allowing riders to test themselves against the clock before regrouping with friends between sections. The format combines the challenge of a gravel race with a relaxed, social ride experience, making it suitable for riders who enjoy climbing, descending and varied gravel terrain.
Riders should be prepared for sustained climbs, uneven surfaces and changing conditions on forest roads. The event finishes at the Alpine Hotel, providing a social setting to unwind after the ride.
