The Better Challenge is a community fun run and walk hosted by WOTSO at their Manly – North Head coworking space on Sunday 27 September 2026. The event brings together locals, families and businesses for a morning of movement in support of The Kids' Cancer Project, which funds vital research into childhood cancer. In Australia, around three children are diagnosed with cancer every day, and events like this one help fund the research that gives them a better future.
What to Expect
Participants can choose from 3km, 6km or 9km courses around the stunning North Head headland in Manly, NSW — one of Sydney's most scenic coastal walking and running routes. Whether you walk, run or roll, every entrant contributes to the cause. The day kicks off at 8:30am with a festival-style atmosphere at WOTSO Manly – North Head, featuring stalls from local businesses and WOTSO members, live DJ sets, and guest speakers sharing stories of impact and hope. The run/walk itself starts at 9am sharp, with a supportive, family-friendly environment suited to individuals, friends and families of all fitness levels.
How to Participate
- Register online via the official Eventbrite listing
- Choose your distance: 3km, 6km or 9km
- Arrive at WOTSO Manly – North Head by 8:30am for the pre-event activities
- Join the walk, run or roll starting at 9am
Cost
Entry is free, with participants encouraged to register via a donation to support The Kids' Cancer Project.
