X-Marathon Adventure Race 2026 is a navigation-based adventure race on the Central Coast of New South Wales, set for 5–6 September 2026. The event is the ARWS Oceania Championship 2026 host race and is designed around a classic multi-discipline challenge in rugged coastal country.
Teams can choose between two courses: a Full 24-hour race for experienced teams, and a Half 12-hour race for those seeking a shorter but still demanding adventure. Both formats are open to teams of 2 or 4.
Expect a tough and varied course featuring paddling, mountain biking and trekking across bushland, sandstone terrain and waterways. The route is also described as showcasing the region’s standout natural features, including coastal scenery, tidal inlets and remote trails.
The full course is reported as being around 160 km and the event is unsupported, placing the emphasis on teamwork, route choice and endurance. The race is also promoted as a premier adventure racing experience just north of Sydney.
For teams chasing elite competition, the Full course carries championship status, while the event also offers a more accessible entry point through the Half course.
