Activity Details
Athletics Essendon, founded in 1897, is one of Melbourne's oldest track & field and cross country clubs. The club is located at Moonee Valley Athletics Centre in Moonee Ponds, VIC.
The club welcomes athletes and para-athletes aged 12+ of all abilities and experience levels, including social runners, recreational athletes, aspiring juniors, masters athletes, Olympic representatives, and Paralympic representatives.
Members have access to a state-of-the-art track, private gym, and qualified coaches across all disciplines. Coaching covers Vertical Jumps, Horizontal Jumps, Throws, Hurdles, Walks, Sprints, Middle Distance/Distance, and Cross Country/Road Racing.
Athletes have the opportunity to compete in track & field and cross country competitions as well as specialist meets, with chances to qualify for state and national championships.
