Hawthorn Rowing Club, established in 1877, welcomes members aged 13 to 90 across all skill levels from beginners to seasoned rowers. The club offers structured training sessions including a Learn to Row program held on Saturdays and Sundays, consisting of five 90-minute sessions that begin on land with technique training and progress to water sessions with expert coaching.

Members can participate in competitive rowing programs aiming for state and national championships, as well as social and development rowing sessions. The club hosts the Head of the Yarra, a major annual rowing event, encouraging member involvement both as competitors and volunteers.
