Activity Details
Queensland Tennis Centre runs Hot Shots group tennis coaching in Tennyson for children and teenagers aged 3 to 16. The junior pathway uses modified courts and balls to help players learn to serve, rally and score, with coaching for beginners through to advanced players.
Blue lessons for ages 3–5+ build coordination, balance and ball-tracking skills through games. Red stages for ages 5–8+ develop tennis strokes, rallying and court awareness. Orange stages for ages 8–10+ use a three-quarter court, while Green stages for ages 10+ introduce full-court tennis. Teen Squad is also available for players aged 10+.
Sessions run for 30 minutes in Blue, 45 minutes in Red and 60 minutes in Orange, Green and Teen Squad. Match play is included from Red 2 through the Orange and Green stages, giving players opportunities to use their skills in game situations.
Enrol online through the centre’s Hot Shots coaching page, or contact the coaching team for help choosing a class. Enrolment commits players to a complete term under the centre’s policies. Classes run only when the minimum number of players has enrolled.
