Kids Hot Shots at St Albans East Tennis Club
DHA Tennis Academy runs Hot Shots group tennis lessons for children aged 3–12 at St Albans East Tennis Club. Sessions introduce tennis through age- and ability-appropriate activities, with modified courts and low-bounce balls to help children learn to rally, serve and play.
The academy aims to build a community through tennis, giving children opportunities to make friends, develop their skills and enjoy playing together.
What to expect
The Hot Shots pathway includes Red, Orange and Green stages. Red introduces young starters to tennis on a smaller court; Orange develops rallies and serving; Green builds technique and match play on a full-size court before progression to competition squads. Coaches help place each child in a suitable group.
Lessons follow Victorian school terms. Bring a drink bottle and wear comfortable sports clothing and shoes; a hat and sunscreen are recommended in summer. A racquet can be borrowed for the first lesson.
Fees and joining
October 2026 fees are $200 for a 10-week term of 30-minute Red sessions, or $250 for a 10-week term of 45-minute Orange or Green sessions. A one-off $50 Hot Shots joining fee includes a racquet and academy T-shirt. Confirm the suitable stage, current timetable and fees before enrolling.
New customers can request a free introductory group lesson through the online trial form. Select the St Albans location and the academy will contact you to arrange a trial and an age- and skill-appropriate class. Use the contact details on this listing for enquiries.
