Kids tennis at Sydenham
DHA Tennis Academy runs Hot Shots tennis at Sydenham Tennis Club for children aged 3–12. Groups are matched to age and skill, using lighter racquets, lower-bouncing balls and suitable court sizes. Red, Orange and Green stages help children progress from early rallies towards full-court play.
What to expect
The academy aims to help children enjoy tennis while developing focus, teamwork and confidence. Lessons follow Victorian school terms, with no public-holiday classes unless arranged by the coach. Bring a drink bottle, comfortable sports clothing and shoes, plus a hat and sunscreen in summer. Racquets can be borrowed for the first lesson.
Fees and joining
Fees are $200 for a 10-week Red Stage term with 30-minute lessons, or $250 for Orange or Green Stage with 45-minute lessons. A one-off $50 joining fee includes a racquet and academy T-shirt. New customers can arrange a free introductory trial; ongoing classes are paid.
Complete the academy’s online enrolment form or contact the coaching team using the details on this listing to arrange the trial and discuss a suitable class. Enrolment after term starts is available, with fees invoiced for the remainder of the term.
