Lake Cootharaba Sailing Club is a family-oriented sailing club offering world-class competition and training opportunities on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. With over 75 years of member-driven excellence, the club provides exceptional flat water sailing conditions on a large salt water lake.
Training & Learning: The club conducts comprehensive training programs during the sailing season (commencing September) ranging from introductory sailing courses to advanced sail tuition, welcoming sailors of all skill levels.
Racing & Competition: Club racing is conducted most Sundays throughout the sailing season, featuring a variety of classes including trailer sailers, catamarans, and monohulls. The club hosts numerous annual regattas including National and State Championships, the renowned Allboats Regatta (August), Cat Challenge (November), MonoMasters (December), and an Easter Regatta.
Membership & Participation: The club is open to the public on Sundays (weather permitting) and during regattas. Members enjoy the benefits of a welcoming community, competitive racing opportunities, training access, and social events including Friday night gatherings at the Black Flag Bar from 5pm.
