Nedlands Yacht Club welcomes sailors of all ages and experience levels to join a vibrant sailing community established in 1952. Whether you're just starting out or looking to compete, NYC offers diverse participation opportunities on the beautiful Swan River.

Training & Learn-to-Sail Programs:

  • Tackers Level 1 – Having Fun program for young adventurers aged 7–12, introducing fundamental sailing skills in a safe and engaging environment with qualified Australian Sailing instructors
  • Beginner-friendly courses requiring only water confidence, with all equipment provided including boats, life jackets, and sailing gear

Racing & Social Sailing:

  • Regular regattas and racing events throughout the year, including the annual Multihull Regatta and Australian Sailing WA Youthsail events
  • Competitive opportunities for sailors of various skill levels, from social racing to national championships

Membership & Participation:

  • Open membership for all ages and abilities
