Melbourne University Renegades Volleyball Club offers social volleyball, coached training and competitive teams, with sessions at Nona Lee Sports Centre at the University of Melbourne in Parkville. You do not need to be a University of Melbourne student to join.
The Mixed Training Program is for adults of all abilities, including beginners and players returning to volleyball. Tuesday evening sessions combine skills work with casual games and run from late January to November. Create a player profile and book each session online; places are capped, so booking is strongly recommended. First-time participants can also pay at the venue.
The Reds Social League runs on Sunday nights throughout the year, with A, B and C grades. The club also fields men’s and women’s teams in the Victorian Volleyball League, with selection through trials. Most State League matches take place at the State Volleyball Centre in Dandenong. Choose a programme on the club website to register, book a session or ask about joining.
