Activity Details

Springwood Bushwalking Club is a volunteer-run club based in Springwood, with activities mainly across the Blue Mountains west of Sydney. Its programme includes day walks and multi-day wilderness trips, as well as cycling, paddling, canyoning and car camping.

Walks range from easier outings to demanding off-track adventures. Activities are led by volunteers and graded to help members choose a suitable trip. The club also offers navigation, map-reading and bush-skills training.

Apply online or attend a general meeting to speak with the membership team. Prospective members start with an easy walk and complete three walks and an induction training session within 12 months before being voted into full membership. Members receive programme information by email and can access activity leaders’ contact details through the member area to book onto trips.

Junior members under 18 need a parent or guardian to sign their application and must be accompanied on activities by a responsible adult. General meetings take place in Springwood on the first Monday of the month, except January.
