We've been making changes across KeepActive over the past month, from the activities you can discover to the way you create a listing. The focus is on helping people find something that suits them and helping organisers connect with those people.

Here's what's changing for people looking to get active, and for the clubs, coaches and organisers who list with us.

For people looking to get active

More activities, events and venues to discover

KeepActive now brings together around 9,500 activities, 1,400 events and 3,500 venues across Australia. We've been adding more local options and improving the descriptions, images and practical details in existing listings.

That means more groups, classes, coaches and places to explore when you're deciding what to try next. Keeping listings current is ongoing work as organisers change their programmes and new groups start.

More ways to find something that suits you

We've expanded the filters in the activities directory so you can narrow your search by age, ability, day and listed price. Free-activity filters and sorting options also make it easier to compare the choices.

The aim is to help you find activities that fit your week, experience and budget. Filter results depend on the information available in each listing, and prices may cover a session, term or membership.

Clearer pages with useful details easier to spot

Search results now appear higher on the page. Activity cards bring together details such as distance, age range, ability, days and listed price where those details are available.

We've also made the styling more consistent across activities, events, venues and blog articles. Event search brings location, event type and date choices together, making it easier to explore options for the time you have free.

Connections between venues and activities

We're linking activities to the venues where they happen. Some results in the venue directory now show groups or sessions held at that location, alongside a link to explore more.

You can discover a place to play and see some of the activities there. We're still expanding these connections, so a venue without linked activities may still host groups or classes.

A guided way to create your listing

We've introduced guided listing creation for activities, events and venues. The process takes you through the details, plan choices and review, with clearer feedback when something needs correcting.

Saved drafts let you return later to finish, including the photos you've already added. Clubs, coaches, event organisers and venue owners can start through our listing page.

Free listings with a photo and website link

KeepActive is free to list on. Every plan, including the free Starter plan, includes a cover photo and a link to your website.

Use a photo that shows your group, venue or the activity people can expect. It helps visitors get a feel for what you offer, with your website link there for more details.

A clearer picture of your listing's performance

Listing owners can now see reports covering listing views, clicks on website and phone links, and email enquiries. Trends and comparisons help you see how interest in your listing changes over time.

These reports show interest in your listing. They do not count confirmed bookings, registrations or attendance.

Help shape what we improve next

If you haven't visited recently, have a look around. Try finding an activity near you, explore the event calendar, or return to a listing you manage.

We'd like to hear what feels better and what still needs work. Send your feedback through our contact form, including what you were trying to do and anything that got in the way.
