The 2 Rivers Backyard Ultra returns to Echuca, North Victoria for its second year, beginning on April 11, 2026.
Runners of all abilities will complete a 6.7km loop every hour. The last person standing who finishes one more loop wins. There is no second place – either you win or you don't finish.
The course is scenic, following the Murray River along the scenic drive trail before turning onto pavement. It then runs alongside the bridge to New South Wales. This out-and-back section includes a turnaround point at the 'Blue Tree' before returning to tackle the 'hill' and re-entering the event area from the opposite direction.
