About this event

The Ballarat Marathon is a running festival held in Ballarat, Victoria, bringing together road races, community events and elite mile races across a weekend of competition. The 2027 program runs on Saturday 17 April and Sunday 18 April, with Saturday featuring the expo, bib collection, bag drop, a new 10km course, a new one-lap 5km course, the Community Mile and the Golden Mile events.

Runners can expect a lively city-centre atmosphere with key race activities based around Ballarat Town Hall and other central event points, plus a marathon expo and bib collection at Selkirk Stadium. The festival also includes the Australian Road Mile Championships, presentations on Saturday evening, and a full marathon race on the Sunday as part of the wider weekend schedule.
