Start beach volleyball on the sand at Maroubra Beach with a four-week Level 1 Learn & Play course designed for complete beginners. This course is for adults who have never tried beach volleyball, or who have almost no prior knowledge of the sport, and want a friendly way to learn the basics while meeting other new players.
Four Weeks on the Sand
This Level 1 course runs on Saturdays at 9:15am from 10 October to 31 October 2026 at Maroubra Beach. Each session is 90 minutes and is coached by the Beachvolleyball.com.au team, with the course built around relaxed instruction, fun drills and game play.
What You Will Learn
- Serving, passing, setting and spiking basics
- The basic rules of beach volleyball
- Simple drills that help new players practise each skill
- Game play situations so participants can start using the skills on court
Who It Suits
The Level 1 course is the introductory option for adults who are completely new to beach volleyball. The organiser describes the course around a simple philosophy: get fit, have fun and meet friends at the beach.
Booking and Cost
The four-week Learn & Play course costs $165. Participants book through the organiser's course schedule and can manage sessions through their account or the Beachvolleyball.com.au app, including viewing upcoming sessions, rescheduling if needed and booking make-up sessions where available.
