About this event
Brunswick Cycling Club’s Thursday motorpacing session is a weekly evening track-cycling event at Brunswick Velodrome, designed to help riders build speed, confidence and bunch-riding skills in a structured setting.
The session begins with an introductory motorpacing class for junior and beginner riders, providing an accessible starting point before progressing to graded sessions for more experienced participants. Riders then move through three speed groups, culminating in a high-intensity session reaching speeds of 45 km/h or more.
Motorpacing uses a pace vehicle to set the rhythm and support sustained efforts around the track. The graded format allows riders to select a suitable level while developing smooth riding, acceleration and the ability to hold a fast, controlled pace.
Held at the historic Brunswick Velodrome beside the Merri Creek bike path, the session is part of Brunswick Cycling Club’s regular weekly programme and welcomes riders seeking either an introduction to motorpacing or a challenging high-speed workout.
