About this event
The Carcoar Cup Running Festival is a community running event held in the historic Central West NSW town of Carcoar, bringing together runners of all ages and abilities for a full weekend of racing and local atmosphere. It features a range of events, including a marathon, half marathon, 10 km, 6 km and kids’ races, making it suitable for serious competitors, recreational runners and families alike.
The festival includes multiple race options over the morning schedule, with the marathon and team marathon starting first, followed by shorter distances for children and adults. Bib collection is typically available across the event weekend, and the day also includes a prize-giving ceremony and social activities that add to the festival feel.
Set against Carcoar’s heritage village backdrop, the event is known for combining running with a relaxed country-town experience. It is a popular spring fixture that offers both competitive racing and a welcoming day out in one of New South Wales’ oldest inland settlements.
