The Coastal Classic is a 30km trail run through the Coast Track in Royal National Park, New South Wales, taking runners from Otford to Bundeena. The 2026 event is scheduled for Saturday, 5 September 2026.
This course is known for its varied terrain and coastal scenery, with runners crossing rocky sections, sand, beaches, cliff tops, bushland and rainforest, alongside some steep climbs. The route follows one of Australia’s most scenic stretches of coastline, with wide ocean views and a classic point-to-point trail running experience.
The 2026 race uses a course distance of 30km with approximately +830m of elevation gain and -930m of descent. Race registration is listed for the morning of the event, with the start set for 8:45am and a course cut-off time of 3:15pm. The race has also been described as an event with limited places, and the 2026 entries are noted as sold out.
Additional course information includes special permission to access Garie Beach on race day, with aid stations placed along the route. The event is also listed as a UTMB World Index Race and has a long-standing reputation as a qualifying race for the Six Foot Track Marathon.
