About this event
The second Coastal Quest race day is based in Anglesea, with Classic Short and Novice options using the river, coast and heathland trails. It is the beginner-friendly side of the weekend while still keeping the core adventure racing mix of trekking, mountain biking, kayaking and navigation.
Sunday at Anglesea
Teams of two paddle, bike, trek and hunt for checkpoints together around Anglesea. The course setting includes the Anglesea River, coastal terrain and heathland trails, giving newcomers a practical way into adventure racing while offering enough variety for returning teams.
Course Options
- Novice: approximately 2 to 3 km paddle, 4 to 5 km trek and 10 to 12 km mountain bike.
- Classic Short: approximately 4 to 5 km paddle, 5 to 6 km trek and 15 to 20 km mountain bike.
Participants can enter the Sunday race on its own, or combine the Saturday and Sunday Classic courses as the Epic stage race. Kayaks and required kayaking equipment are listed as included with team entry.
Who It Suits
The Novice course is designed for first-timers and teams wanting a shorter challenge, while Classic Short suits those ready for a bigger day across the Surf Coast environment.
