About this event
Cobb and Co Backyard Ultra is a classic last-runner-standing challenge set at the historic Nine Mile Camping Grounds in Tandur. Runners tackle a 6.7km loop every hour, on the hour, with each lap needing to be completed within the hour to stay in the race.
The event is scheduled for Sunday, 15 November 2026, with a 6:00am start. It is staged entirely within the campground, keeping runners, crew and spectators close to the action throughout the day and night.
This is a true Backyard Ultra format: finish your loop in time and you line up again for the next hour; miss the start and your race is over. The last runner still completing loops alone is declared the winner.
Entry is set for runners aged 15 years and over, and participants aged 18 and under must have a parent or guardian present. Crew and spectators can attend on a day pass, and camping is available so the event can be enjoyed as a full weekend away.
Camping and accommodation are arranged directly with Cobb and Co, making it easy to stay onsite and soak up the atmosphere of this distinctive endurance event.
