About this event
Get ready for the Deep Creek Backyard Ultra, an unforgettable last-one-standing ultramarathon taking place on Saturday, October 31, 2026, in the stunning Cairncross State Forest near Pembrooke, NSW, Australia.
This unique race challenges runners to complete a 6.71km loop every hour on the hour, with the final bell signaling the start of each new lap. If you finish a loop early, you can rest, refuel, stretch, and recover, but you must be back in the corral before the next bell rings to continue. The race ends when only one runner remains able to start a new loop on time, making it a true test of endurance and strategy.
Located just a short drive from Port Macquarie, Wauchope, and Telegraph Point, the event offers a beautifully marked course in the Cairncross State Forest with 125 meters of elevation per lap. Whether you're a seasoned ultrarunner or new to the format, this is your chance to experience the thrill of the Backyard Ultra.
