About this event
Gil's Galavant Backyard Ultra, taking place on 11 April 2026 in Wallumbilla, Queensland, is a challenging last-person-standing endurance race set in the heart of Queensland’s outback.
Hosted on a working cattle property spanning approximately 3,000 acres, participants must complete a 6.71 km loop of the property every hour on the hour. This continues until only one runner remains. For detailed rules and regulations, please refer to the official event website.
The course features varied terrain including grass, sandy loam soil, seasonal creek crossings, and gravel sections, with an elevation gain of about 30 meters per loop.
