About this event

The GWM Australian Open Criterium is a fast-paced elite road cycling race held as part of the Noosa Triathlon & Multisport Festival’s Super Saturday program. It takes place on Noosa Parade in Noosa Heads and brings together some of Australia’s top professional cyclists for a high-intensity, spectator-friendly showdown.

The event features separate races for women and men, with the women’s race scheduled for 30 minutes plus three laps and the men’s race for 40 minutes plus three laps. Racing begins in the afternoon, creating a lively atmosphere along the course as crowds line the circuit to watch the action unfold.

Known for its quick, technical layout and strong local following, the criterium is designed for short, sharp racing and close competition. It is an elite event, so participation is limited to suitably licensed riders.
