The Hume and Hovell Ultra takes place on Saturday, 20 September 2025 at Henry Angel Trackhead in Tumbarumba, NSW, Australia. This ultramarathon event follows sections of the historic Hume & Hovell Walking Track, tracing the route of explorers Hamilton Hume and William Hovell from their 1824 expedition to Port Phillip Bay.

Runners can choose from multiple distances: 22 km Half Marathon, 50 km Ultra, 100 km Ultra (available as solo or team relay), and a challenging 100-mile race. The course combines constructed walking tracks and fire trails, reaching elevations over 1200 metres. Participants will encounter stunning natural features such as Paddys River Dam, alpine snow gums, Mannus Lake, and the scenic Buddong Falls.

The event is organized by dedicated members of the Tumut Trotters Running Club and supported by the Australian Ultra Runners Association (AUTRA). It offers a well-supported, scenic, and historic ultrarunning experience suitable for a range of endurance athletes.
