Description
The Lakes Trail Festival, held on Saturday, 4 October 2025, is one of Australia’s newest and most scenic off-road ultra running events, set in the stunning Myall Lakes region on the NSW North Coast.
Runners can choose from multiple distances to suit all levels: the 100km Lakes100 ultra marathon, as well as 70km, 50km, and 30km solo runs. Team options include a 4-person relay for the 100km course and a 2-person relay for the 50km distance, allowing teammates to share the challenge and finish together.
For those seeking shorter adventures, there is a 12km course along with a 1km Lakes Kids run designed for young participants.
All races start and finish in Hawks Nest, guiding runners along breathtaking beaches, rugged headlands, tranquil lake shores, and through ancient coastal forests. The courses showcase some of Australia’s most spectacular coastal landscapes, including the internationally recognized Myall Lakes National Park.
