The Metung Fun Run returns to the Gippsland Lakes region on Sunday, 8 November 2026, offering a fun and inclusive community event for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities.
Starting from the Metung Village Green, participants can choose from a scenic 10km run, a 5km run or walk, or a 1km Kids’ Colour Dash. The event is held on roads and combines fitness, family fun and the beautiful setting of Metung.
The event is an annual fundraiser for Metung Primary School, with support from the Lions Club of Metung. Entry options include individual and family participation, with family entries available for groups of three to seven immediate family members.
Whether taking on the longer run, enjoying a relaxed walk or joining the colourful kids’ event, the Metung Fun Run is a welcoming way to get active and support the local school community.
