Welcome to Canicross
You and your dog running as a team on challenging trails in our beautiful State Forests.
Held in the Ourimbah State Forest on Middle Ridge Road and surrounding tails. The course starts and finishes on the 'closed to traffic' section of Middle Ridge Road where it meets Red Hill Road.
Your choice of a 2.5km or 9.7km trail
The approximate 2.5 km run that starts on a wide fire trail. Just after the 1 km mark it changes to single track for the journey home. It's not flat and there is enough undulation and varied terrain to challenge both of you. There is approximately 50m of elevation.
The approximate 9.7 km run that starts on a wide fire trail but it's a bit after the 3km it goes a little wild. The trail narrows, and there are logs and mounds to traverse, with a few hills. At around 7km there's a challenging steep washed out section of hill to scramble up. Then more single track to the finish. In all, there is approximately 300m of elevation
