About this event
Paluma Ultra is a challenging 52km trail ultramarathon through the pristine rainforest and varied terrain of Paluma Range National Park in Queensland’s World Heritage-listed Wet Tropics. The technical course combines scenic forest trails, waterfalls and refreshing creek crossings, creating a demanding adventure for experienced trail runners.
The race starts and finishes in Paluma, with the finish line at the Paluma Village Green. Set in the elevated Paluma Range, close to 1,000 metres above sea level, the event offers cooler running conditions than the nearby coast and a spectacular rainforest setting.
Participants must complete the course within the 11-hour cut-off. The event takes place on Saturday, 24 October 2026, with the race program scheduled from 5.00am to 6.00pm.
