North Queensland Elite Rodeo brings professional rodeo, live entertainment and country hospitality to the spectacular bush setting of Hervey Range, just outside Townsville. Held across Friday night and Saturday, this all-ages event showcases experienced competitors, emerging talent and junior riders in a high-energy celebration of Australian rodeo culture.
The arena action features a thrilling programme of events, including bareback riding, steer wrestling, breakaway roping, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing and bull riding. Competitors vie for substantial prize money while taking on some of the country’s toughest rodeo stock.
Saturday’s programme includes the Haulmark Junior Elite Rodeo around lunchtime, followed by the grand entry and more rodeo action in the afternoon and evening. With a lively atmosphere around the grounds, the event is designed for locals and visitors alike, offering a weekend of competition, entertainment, food and genuine North Queensland country spirit.
Children under five can attend free, and the event welcomes audiences of all ages. North Queensland Elite Rodeo is where top riders, rising stars and enthusiastic crowds come together for an unforgettable experience in the hills of Hervey Range.
