The Rainbow Beach Trail Running Festival will take place on Saturday, 8 August 2026 at Phil Rodgers Park, Rainbow Beach, QLD, Australia. This premier trail running event offers three race distances: Marathon, Half Marathon, and 11km.
Participants will traverse spectacular trails along the iconic Cooloola Coast, renowned for its towering coloured sand cliffs formed over thousands of years. The route showcases breathtaking natural features including lush forests, perched lakes, rising sand dunes, and the historic Rainbow Beach lighthouse. Runners will experience diverse terrain, including single tracks, fire roads, and pristine beaches, with approximately 90% of the course on unpaved trails.
Rainbow Beach is located approximately 238 km (a 3-hour drive) north of Brisbane, making it an ideal destination for a scenic weekend getaway. All finishers receive a commemorative event memento.
