About this event
The annual Sri Chinmoy Lake Swims return to Yarralumla Bay in Canberra, offering swimmers a choice of three open-water distances: 500 metres, 2.5 kilometres and 5 kilometres.
Each swim is designed to provide a genuine test of swimming ability and skill. Participants may choose the distance that best suits their experience and fitness, from the shorter 500-metre challenge through to the longer 2.5-kilometre and 5-kilometre courses.
The swims are intended to be completed without wetsuits. Swimmers may wear a wetsuit if preferred, but wetsuit wearers are not eligible for event awards.
Set at Yarralumla Bay Swimming Beach, the event provides a scenic lake setting for recreational swimmers and more experienced open-water athletes alike. The 2027 program is scheduled for Sunday, 14 February.
